This Wasn’t Built in a Boardroom. It Was Built From a Battlefield.

Some organizations start with a mission statement. Ours started with a moment I almost didn’t survive.

My name is LaTonya MeChelle, and I am a U.S. military veteran. I am also a woman who has looked into the darkest places a human mind can go—PTSD, suicidal thoughts, a system that made me feel like a number instead of a person—and somehow, by grace and grit, I came out the other side.

Eye Love Me Inc. exists because I made it out. And I refuse to walk this earth knowing that other veterans and young people are fighting that same invisible war alone.

The Moment That Changed Everything

There was a season in my life when I couldn’t see a future. I carried wounds that nobody could see, and I wore a mask that convinced the world I was fine. But I wasn’t fine. I was drowning.

What I needed in that moment was simple: one person. One person who had been where I was. One person who didn’t flinch at my pain. One person who could sit with me in the mess and say, “I know. I’ve been here too. And you’re going to make it.”

I didn’t have that person. So I decided to become that person for others.

What We Actually Do

Eye Love Me Inc. is not a hotline. We’re not a website with resources you’ll never read. We are a hands-on, heart-first organization that serves two of the most overlooked groups in our communities: veterans and teenagers.

For veterans and active service members, we provide community-based suicide prevention and wellness services. That means real coaching, real conversations, and real help navigating the VA system. I’ve been through the claims process myself. I know how exhausting and dehumanizing it can be. So we sit beside veterans and walk them through every step—because no one should have to decode a bureaucratic maze while they’re already fighting for their life.

For teenagers, we offer life coaching that meets them where they are. Not lectures. Not judgment. Real talk. We help them figure out who they are, build confidence they can actually feel, and learn how to stand in their truth even when the world is loud. These kids are growing up in a time when they are constantly being told who to be—and we’re here to help them discover who they already are.

Why the Name Matters

People ask me about the name all the time. “Eye Love Me”—what does that mean?

It means the hardest thing any of us will ever do. It means looking in the mirror—really looking—and choosing to love what you see. Not the filtered version. Not the version that has it all together. The real you. The messy, scarred, still-healing you.

That’s where transformation starts. Not in a program. Not in a pill. In the moment you decide that you are worth your own love. That’s what we teach. That’s what we live.

We’re Just Getting Started

Eye Love Me Inc. is based in Texarkana, Texas, but this mission is bigger than one city. We are a brand-new organization, and honestly? That’s what makes this so exciting. We’re building something real from the ground up. No red tape. No corporate agenda. Just people who have walked through fire, reaching back to help the ones still in it.

If any of this resonates with you—if you’re a veteran who needs support, a parent looking for help for your teen, or just someone who believes in what we’re doing—I want to hear from you. Schedule a call. Send us an email. Show up. That’s all it takes to be part of this.
